Q: Who is Mike Wellman?
A: Mike Wellman is the writer and co-creator of GUNS A’BLAZIN’! a light-hearted, action packed time travelling epic with his collaborator, artist and co-creator Rafael Navarro.
Q: What has Mike done?
A: Wellman’s credits include everything from creator-owned MAC AFRO and GONE SOUTH to recognizable properties STAR TREK, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA and WORLD OF WARCRAFT. He also serves as an editor for comic books and children’s books including THE SNAKE WHO WOULD NOT BEND and A TOTALLY TRUE PRINCESS STORY.
Mike is the co-owner of The Comic Bug with his business partner Jun Goeku. The store was established in 2004 and now has a second location as well as an expansion of the original shop dedicated to gaming, The Game Hub.
Mike lectures at colleges, schools and libraries regularly about the art of making comics and hosts monthly creator group meetings where comic professionals lend their insight and experiences to aspiring creators. With The Comic Bug, he hosts monthly drink & draws on the Redondo Pier complete with cosplayers and geek-themed food and drink specials.
And on the seventh day, he sleeps.
